Master & Apprentice Cooking Competition
In our Master & Apprentice Cooking Competition leading local chefs team up with VET in School Culinary students from The Gordon. The chefs mentor and work with their student to compete against another Master & Apprentice team. Our celebrity chef, Frank Camorra will help judge the competition.
The Gordon VET in School Culinary students hail from local secondary colleges.
Donut Eating Competition
In 2020 we featured a Donut Eating Competition for the kids for the first time. Proudly sponsored by the local Lara Rod's Bakery.
You loved it so much we're doing it again. So get ready to enjoy all that doughy goodness.
Kids aged 8 - 12 can register on the day to compete in one of our many heats throughtout the day. Winners of each heat go into the grand final.
The overall winner receive lots of yummy Rod's Bakery donuts to take home.

Brendan Hill, 40 years of achievements, an Australian Guru in the pastry industry
Brendan Hill has worked for close to 40 years with The Gordon TAFE. During this time he has travelled the world as judge and competitor in dozens of cookery and patisserie world cups and competitions.
Brendan’s resume is simply a blast of success, showing one achievement after the other. And an international Judge to numerous gold medals and the prestigious Black Hat, Brendan's talent as a patissier and chocolatier proceed him.
It is an unmissable opportunity to meet with one of the best professional pastry chefs in Australia, culinary author, and international judge; specialised in chocolate, artistic sugar, marzipan, confectionery and much more, Brendan’s highest achievements have seen him presenting showpieces to Their Royal Highnesses the Prince of Wales.
